Course Synopsis
During your stay you will be trained in the following:
- BENDING: this makes up the majority of the course
- SIMPLE BENDS: Adjusting fires 90, doubleback, rise/drop, flyover, splicing
- COMPLEX BENDS: planning out the sequence Side tubulation and butt welding Block letters, Block outline Curved letters, Script alphabets
- GAS ELECTRICAL AND AIR SUPPLIES: methods of providing gas/air to fires
- GAS BURNERS: different types of cross fires and ribbon burners
- VACUUM PUMPS: requirements and maintenance
- MANIFOLDS: operation and types of
- BOMBARDING: processing tubes at high temperature
- PUMPING: evacuation of expelled gasses
- TESTING: identifying faulty tubes
- LOADING: matching transformers to tubing type, length and diameter
- ASSEMBLY: mounting and connection methods
- HAZARDS: working in a safe environment
- BENCH MATERIALS: paper and nonbestos patterns,working with screens, glass marking, Electrode holders and blocks.
